In an edited Instagram post, the vegan “Juice” singer Lizzo urged her fans to stop politicizing the current climate crises impacting the planet.
“What’s two things you wish could change *right now* for the better?” she asked her followers, noting that she deleted the rest of her caption because “I ain’t want y’all arguing in my comments…” But she added, “ima leave the last part— I’d wish that everyone would stop politicizing the earth… like bro… what does that say about us when forest fires and clean air are a bipartisan debate?”
Lizzo has used her social platforms, mainly Instagram and TikTok, to share her thoughts about the state of the planet. She recently revealed to her audience that she’s also eating a vegan diet. She frequently shares recipes on her platforms.
In a post earlier this year as Black Lives Matter protests were erupting across the globe in the wake of George Floyd’s death, the singer shared a recipe saying she was “eating my feelings” as the planet continued to let her down.
She also recently urged her fans to be kind in an Instagram post. “You have the power to make kindness sexy. You never know what somebody is going through,” she wrote.
